Tulipa Fly Away
Fly Away moves with the wind in a way other tulips cannot manage — its pointed bold red and sunshine yellow petals flex and sway on long stems, giving borders a sense of life and gentle movement. Its season arrives in April to June, and for a few weeks the garden takes on a more composed, considered quality. Few tulips photograph as well or arrange as naturally as this one. As a cut flower it is exceptional — strong stems hold the bloom upright for well over a week, making it as valuable to the vase as it is to the border. Dutch-grown and hand-selected for size and vigour, Fly Away arrives ready to perform. Grown in the bulb fields of the Netherlands, where the craft of bulb growing has been perfected over centuries.
